Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation repurposes fur clothing to provide comfort to orphaned wildlife during their recovery and rehabilitation. They also take all sorts of cleaning supplies to keep their rescue running. They also will give plastic and metal lids (like those on peanut butter and jam jars) a new life.
Indigo Rescue hosts several jewelry sales with 100% of the funds used to support animal rescue efforts.
Save the Chimps uses brown paper bags, reusable grocery bags, soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, scrub brushes and more at their primate sanctuary. To keep the animals happy, they use stuffed animals, children’s board books and pop-up books, crayons, Crayola paint and chalk, canvases, wooden paintbrushes, new wrapping paper, tissue paper, streamers, paper plates, fleece blankets, nylabones and Kong dog toys and more.
Old newspapers are a big help at animal shelters. Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation, Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, and Pet Adoption Fund all use them in their shelters. Got a rescue nearby? Give them a call- chances are, they’ll happily take your stack!
Old towels, sheets, blankets and comforters without holes are used as bedding or cleaning for the animals at Street Tails, Pet Adoption Fund and Animal Rescue Resource Foundation. You can also call your local shelter to see if they accept old bedding, towels, and more!
SPCALA requests new dog beds.
Pixie Project accepts opened gently-used dog beds, cat beds, and crate pads to use in their shelter. They also request opened medications to be provided to their veterinary clinic.
Street Tails takes partially used or recently expired dog medication for their vet to re-distribute as needed. They also need pill pockets and flea & tick treatment.
